It’s very cross-curricular, it’s not just about plants and bugs. It’s about using garden beds to figure out the volume and area for math. For language arts, students blog and write poems.

4th Grade Teacher

Kids are talking in the cafeteria quite a bit about food groups on their plate. It’s neat to see them thinking about it and extending it through the day.

Students were able to apply knowledge learned in the nutrition lessons in math (measurement), reading (making connections in expository text), and science (conservation of natural resources).
